New Considerations for the public regarding Flat Roofs

Flat and low pitch roofs have got a bad (and somewhat undeserved) reputation this is largely due to felt roofs which have a short life generally 10 - 15 years are prone to leaking and rapid deterioration due to Britain's varied weather conditions, but never the less people still insist on replacing felt with felt, year in year out mainly due to the lack of knowledge about better alternative roofing products. This in turn has given flat roofs their rather tarnished reputation. Hopefully after reading through this article you will know better.

Due to the fire risks and compensation claims made in relation to hot bituminous products many insurance companies will no longer cover companies who undertake hot felt work. So if you have your roof covered by such a company there is a possibility they may not be around to honour any guarantee they give you.

At BPC Roofing we are proud that we stand by all our Guarantee's (which is quite easy as the quality of the materials means that there is very seldom ever a problem) and by offering you the same products you can have the same peace of mind and the products carry the same guarantee as if fitted by ourselves.

Quite simply Firestone Epdm Rubber is the best flat roof covering on the market, is covered by the Firestone manufacturers Twenty Year Guarantee, which should never be needed as the material will last in excess of 50 Years.Any further information may be gleaned from our website at www.bpcroofing.co.uk or our sister company at www.singleplyroofers.co.uk

A Roofer's Blog

Hi all
Just thought I would open my blog with a really annoying week, I will be glad to see the back off.
My van was in for repairs £400 and with the service for my car-I think the garage did it cheaper as the van was so dear-I am £500 squid lighter in the tail + the van was in for longer than expected so I lost two days, it starts pouring with rain, my phones going berserk with calls and Im stuck-I can hardly put ladders on my Audi TT.
Consequently the diary is now full of leads & jobs-Ive got the van back and its running like a new van again.
So Im getting ready to go out & rattle through some jobs on Friday................Monsoon time, seriously in Edinburgh the rainwater was pouring over gutters, cascading from tenement roofs, gushing upwards from street drains..........another day wasted labourwise, so it was just a case of going to see jobs to price in the book.
Finished early & played with trying to optimize my website www.bpcroofing.co.uk .
One roofing aspect I have noticed lately is, that I am seeing a rise in enquiry's for Installing Firestone Rubbercover instead of people just phoning up wanting roofs re-felted.
It looks like Joe Public are finally beginning to realise its the future of roofing.
Hope you enjoyed.
